Teenagers Steal Honda Civic Pizza Delivery, Police Quickly Chase & Arrest Them

Officers from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Florida have arrested two teenagers who stole a pizza delivery man’s vehicle.

The incident happened on March 20 when a pizza delivery boy’s Honda Civic was stolen while they were away. Deputy Karr from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office quickly located the vehicle and attempted to do a routine traffic stop.

Unfortunately, 16-year-old Keishawn Jelks refused to stop, prompting the officer to initiate a pursuit. Dashcam footage from the police vehicle shows the Civic being chased through local streets and at one point Jelks can be seen turning right and driving down a green embankment on the side of the road.

The 16-year-old continued to roll down the embankment for several hundred feet before backing onto the road. As the chase continued, the driver can be seen speeding through several intersections while the officer remained on his tail.

Before long, the driver of the Civic pulled over on the I-75 Northbound on-ramp and Deputy Karr took the opportunity to perform a PIT maneuver on the Honda, spinning it and dropping it. stuck in a grassy ditch.

Jelks and his 17-year-old passenger, Dontarrius Wise, were arrested and during a search of the vehicle, deputies discovered there were two fresh pizzas in the backseat. Jelks was later arrested and charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, invalid driver’s license and fleeing from a law enforcement officer. Meanwhile, Wise was arrested and charged with grand larceny of a motor vehicle. Both were transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice for detention.
