2 teens charged with stealing pizza delivery driver’s car, fleeing Marion County deputies – WFTV

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Two teenagers are charged with stealing a pizza delivery driver’s car and running away from deputies who tried to arrest them.

Marion County deputies said there were two pizzas in the backseat when they arrested a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old.

The teens are accused of stealing the vehicle of a pizza delivery guy who was dropping off pizzas in Gainesville.

Deputies said they located the vehicle in Marion County and attempted to perform a traffic stop. Investigators say the driver of the vehicle refused to stop, so the deputy initiated a chase, and when the driver attempted to merge onto I-75 northbound, the deputy disabled the vehicle by performing a successful PIT maneuver.
